At shows and around town I receive boat loads
of requests for info into my music and
performances. Like, “What gauge
guitar
strings do you use, and why”? “How do
you play like that”? “Why do you play that
guitar
on that song”? “What
pick-ups
are you using”? “How do you find and fix a
problem in a hurry”? “Do you have a music
background, do you read
tab”?
“Which
amplifiers did you employ for this or
that
show or this or that
recording”?
“What
pedals or
stomp
boxes do you employ”? “Which
floor
pedals are you using on a particular
song”?” How do you make a determination on
settings and path of the
stomp
boxes”? “How do you find your
tone”?
“What type or brand
guitar
picks do you use and what gauge are
they”?
I’ve decided to try to think this
out so I make sense to you, and me about these
and other
music
and
guitar
issues. I’ll make and effort to explain my mind
set. How I work to achieve what it takes for me
to get up on stage, in the studio, and practice
room (wherever that may be). This, will make me
a better
musician /
artist. Hopefully this can help you
as well.
Good Luck and Keep the
Muse close to your heart.
